The Scientific AI Flagship is co-coordinated and brings together principal investigators from across Human Technopole — computational biology, structural biology, genomics, cell and developmental biology, and health data science — together with HT’s National Facilities and dedicated management support.
Coordinators
Two scientific coordinators bridge the methodological and clinical halves of the Flagship.

Coordinator
Francesca Ieva
Coordinator (Health Data Science RC).
Senior researcher in Health Data Science, working on statistical and AI methods for clinical and population-scale data.

Coordinator
Florian Jug
Coordinator (Computational Biology RC).
Co-lead of HT’s Computational Biology Research Centre and head of the Multimodal AI Across Scales Research Programme.
Principal Investigators
Thirteen group leaders contributing across the five work packages.
Management & National Facilities
Management support: Giulia Mangiameli (HDS RC) · Konstantin Winter (CompBio RC)
Involved National Facilities: Data Handling and Analysis (NoBIAS) · Genomics · Light Imaging · Structural Biology
This page lists the coordinators, principal investigators, and management staff. The Flagship’s day-to-day work will be carried out by PhD students, postdocs, and the AI-focused research software engineers across the contributing groups — their profiles will appear here as they come on board.
